Machine Learning Implementation in DFM Signoff and Auto-Fixing Flow

In this video, GlobalFoundries presents the latest integrated machine learning (ML)-enhanced design for manufacturing (DFM) solution based on Cadence's Pegasus™ Layout Pattern Analyzer (LPA), applicable both during design and for signoff. 

After the description of the mandatory DFM signoff requirements in general and the pattern-based DFM application and its advantages in particular, GlobalFoundries explained how unknown hotspots can be predicted and automatically fixed during design using the DFM ML engine, providing up to 33% greater detection efficiency with less than 10% runtime impact. 

Integration of the ML-enhanced DFM in the Innovus™ Implementation System and Virtuoso® design platform delivers in-design signoff and automated fixing for an easy add-on to designers’ implementation flows and faster time to market.
