Advanced mm-Wave 3D Imaging Radar Solution Powered by Cadence Tensilica Vision DSP

This live demonstration shows shows an example of Vayyar’s 3D imaging radar system that can be used for in-car occupancy detection, driver monitoring, advanced gesture control or people detection. The high-resolution short-range radar sensor operates in the 77-81 GHz frequency band and can detect presence, classify life signs and identify dimensions and posture. With 42 transceivers as well as a wide field of view, a single 3D imaging radar sensor creates a precise point cloud of the surrounding regardless of weather or lighting conditions, replacing multiple sensors, generating significant costs savings.
