FMEDA-driven Design of Safety-critical Semiconductors
Robert Schweiger, a group director for automotive solutions at Cadence, presents in this talk from embedded world 2023, a new FMEDA-driven safety methodology that enables safety analysis, verification, and safety-aware implementation for analog, digital, and mixed-signal SoCs. By leveraging the Unified Safety Format (USF), safety engineers can capture the safety intent and model the FMEDA and its effects on the behavior of a system (failure modes). USF facilitates the automation of the FMEDA-driven safety flow and becomes the standard framework for designing, verifying, and implementing safety-critical systems.
