Worcester Polytechnique Institute (WPI) has devised a way to remotely monitor patients in a way that’s non-invasive, accurate, and remote. They’re building monitors that provide more accessible data, give all the variables more accurately, and are more family-friendly. In this manner, babies don’t need to remain tethered to a machine to determine whether the support they’re being given is adequate. To help them design the next generation of medical devices, WPI is using Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre technology.
