This live demonstration shows an example of an AI-based pedestrian detection used for ADAS applications. The incoming live video images are streamed into the CPU and passed on to the Tensilica Vision P6 quad-core processor cluster for the people detection. Only one of the four Tensilica Vision P6 cores is needed to process the compute intensive AI algorithm called YOLO (You Only Look Once) in real-time and sending video frames including the box around the detected pedestrians from Vision P6 DSP to the HDMI video output. With its optimized high-performance computing power running at a very low power consumption, the Tensilica DSP is predestined for autonomous driving applications.
